How to Recover or Retrieve Accidentally Deleted Files

In some point in time you may had accidentally deleted or erased your files from your computer. Even in the desktop recycle bin, you have cleaned up everything in their. In this kind of situation, your best option to retrieve or recover those files is to use file recovery softwares. There's a software called Auslogics File Recovery that can help you recover deleted files by scanning thoroughly your hard drive, searching for traces of deleted files.



In this post, you will be able to learn how to recover deleted files using Auslogics File Recovery software.

1. Download and install Auslogics File Recovery software. Run the program after installation and select which drive to retrieve deleted files. You can also specify what type of file to retrieve, simply check Pictures, Videos, Documents and Software, otherwise remove mark. Please see the example screenshot below as guide.



2. To search for a specified date and time, you can select the time period to narrow your search. In this way, Auslogics Recovery Software will only search in that particular date and time. Please see the screenshot image below.


3.  In the next procedure, you can either specify the filename or let Auslogics recover all files. So if you remember the name of the file to retrieve, then you can type it in the textbox then click the next button. Please make sure to check the example below to guide you.
  4. Onto the next window pane, you can leave this on its default option by not checking "Perform deep scan ". Well, if you need to perform deep search, then you have to wait a few hours for Auslogics to run the search.

5. Auslogics will now perform the search then recover files found. If Auslogics found files, simply click the little box beside the file name to recover those deleted files. Please take a look at the screenshot below as guide. As you can see, there's a checkbox beside the filename, it means that the file will be recovered after clicking Recover Selected.


6. Once you've click the Recover Selected button, you will then specify in which folder to save the recovered file. In my case, I have placed it under my documents.
